The Largest Hidden Barn Find in Alabama Is Finally For Sale

Massive Barn Find Collection Goes Up for Sale After Years in Storage

This is probably the most significant classic car discovery in recent memory. Nestled across multiple buildings in Alabama, owner Greg Rusk has amassed such an enormous classic car collection that he’s lost count of both the vehicles and the structures housing them. The collection potentially reaches 1,300 vehicles, making this one of the largest private automotive barn finds ever discovered in the United States.

This isn’t your typical dusty barn find cars for sale listing either. The staggering inventory includes 259 Chevrolets, 109 Fords, 105 Cadillacs, 96 Pontiacs, 55 Mopars, 48 Lincolns, 35 Buicks, 24 Oldsmobiles, and 12 Volkswagen Beetles, plus a selection of rare foreign classics like Alfa Romeos and Porsches. Many vehicles have been carefully stored indoors over the decades, while others sat outside weathering the Alabama elements.

Historic Classic Cars Head to Hagerty Marketplace Auction

Nearly the entire collection will sell through Hagerty Marketplace with no reserve pricing, marketed as The Generous Collection. The first wave of 200 classic cars and trucks went live in October 2025, with additional auction rounds planned to move the massive inventory.

Among the standout vehicles are a 1953 Jaguar XK120 Roadster that previously sold for $165,000, a rare 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe from the limited production run, and a 1995 Pontiac Firebird SLP Firehawk, one of only 671 built that year. The collection also features unusual finds like a King Midget Model III microcar and modified vehicles including an LS1-swapped 1986 Mazda RX-7.

Why This Alabama Barn Find Matters for Classic Car Collectors

Classic car enthusiasts and collectors searching for barn find vehicles, vintage automobiles, and rare automotive treasures now have unprecedented access to decades of accumulated classics. This Alabama collection represents both the dreams and dedication of one collector and an opportunity for buyers to acquire vehicles that haven’t been available on the market for generations.

The no reserve auction format means every vehicle will sell regardless of price, creating potential opportunities for bargain hunters and serious collectors alike to add significant pieces to their own collections.
